Our Issues
Economy
The number one issue is jobs! Our country is replete with examples of how we can easily get out of fiscal hardship like the one we are experiencing. The solution is a drastic reduction or overhaul of our existing tax code that benefits all Americans.
I support removing the income tax and replacing it with THE FAIR TAX. In addition, we must stop new government
spending, NO MORE STIMULI and cut payroll taxes on the employee and employer side
to put more money in the hands of those who need it. We should reduce capital
gains which will encourage more spending and get the economy rolling. I support
increasing the tax credit to small businesses per employee hired to give small
businesses an incentive to hire more people and get America working!
Education
Our children are falling behind in basic academic achievement compared to
children from foreign nations. The current system of holding the teachers solely
accountable is neither fair nor accurate. Regardless of what is happening in the
classroom or the school, if the child’s parents decide that their child would be
better served by attending another school, be it public, private or
home-schooled, they should have that choice and a voucher should be immediately
provided.
National Security
A nation that can not defend itself renders its citizens helpless to our enemies
both foreign and domestic. Furthermore, our men & women in our military must
have the best state-of-the-art equipment to perform their service and protect
their lives. Cutting our national security budget is unacceptable and will not
be supported by me. Instead, we should find ways to save on expenses or obtain
more for less. Another integral part of our National Security is protecting our
Northern and Southern borders. It is time for the political partisanship to end!
Let us instead send strong leadership like Rupert Parchment to
Washington.
Health Insurance Affordability
The first step to reforming health care is to obtain a fair & impartial
survey of Americans, doctors with a private practice, hospitals & health care
insurance providers. The purpose of this extensive survey is to answer questions
on why health care insurance is so high as well as ways to reduce the costs. We
need to ask questions from both the public & private sectors before destroying
our existing system with the hope that a new system is better. The issue is with
the affordability of access to health care not that our professionals in
medicine are inept or committing financial fraud.
While this “census-like” survey is being conducted, we can implement
certain measures to make health care more affordable. Here are just a few:
Allow Americans to purchase insurance across state lines
Tort Reform - refers to proposed changes in the civil justice system that would reduce tort litigation
Allow Americans to purchase insurance with Pre-Tax dollars
Allow Health Care Savings Accounts
Eliminate Pork and Kick-backs in Health Care Legislation
Allow Americans to invest a portion of Medicare savings
Illegal Aliens vs Legal Immigration
Being the child of immigrant parents, I understand and know what America has done for my family. For most immigrants, the words of our Constitution could not
have been more clear, “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.” A broad &
ineffective Amnesty program is not the solution to the problem. The solution for
illegal immigration is to secure our borders and enforce our existing laws. In
addition, we must reform the lengthy and expensive process by which people can
become American citizens.
Energy
While our current administration is focused on copying the Health Care of Europe, they
have forgotten to copy the idea of the numerous nuclear power plants some of the
countries possess. To ready ourselves to complete globally, the means to power the
new businesses needs to be reliable, effective and affordably priced. I support
the exploration of fossil fuels that we have in the USA and eliminating our dependency
on oil from foreign nations. I support the use of bio-diesel & methane gas derived from waste.
Israel
The United States and Israel are allies. I reject the notion that Israel is free to defend herself
without our support. Instead, I believe that
we should assist in defending, protecting and eliminating any threat to her
sovereignty as a peaceful nation.
Seniors
Our seniors have worked and supported our country for decades. Each and every paycIf you serve our country, by being in foreign lands to fight for our rights and
freedom, you should expect housing, prescription drugs, medical care and while
you are serving, credit forbearance!
Veterans
If your serve our country, by being in foreign lands to fight for our rights and freedom,
the least of your worries should be housing, employment, medical care and while you are serving,
credit forbearance. We have neglected our Veterans for far too long and it is embarassing how military
Men & Women are suffering. If elected, I will be an ally and friend for Veterans.
Restore Social Security & Medicare accounts
I believe the government needs to cease and desist from dipping into Social Security & Medicare funds. A process to restore the borrowed funds needs to be devised and the money reimbursed. In addition, I believe Americans should have the option to invest a portion of their Social Security funds. After all, whose money is it anyway?
Welfare Reform
For too long, we have witnessed the destruction of the traditional family structure in households throughout America with well-intentioned social programs like Welfare. We must break the cycle and ensure that all families, both single parent & dual parent, receive temporary assistance to give them a help out; not an
indefinite hand out.
Firearms
I support the Second Amendment. As a gun owner, I understand and I am an advocate for the safe operation & education on the use of firearms.
Abortion
As a citizen, I believe abortion is a State Rights issue. Personally, I do not & cannot support abortion or any form of genocide either domestic or foreign.
I believe life starts at inception and I do not support the death penalty. I am
pro-life.
Environment
I believe that whenever we take from the earth, we should replenish the earth. We should be good stewards of this God given planet and exercise our dominion with care.
However, I do not support Cap & Trade legislation or any environmental emission based taxes. I believe Americans have enough line item fees on utility bills which are passed down by service providers from the government to the people.
